Here’s Farmer Casey explaining another aspect of the subsoil heating system for our new greenhouse: insulation. In order to conserve heat and money, we are insulating around the perimeter of our new greenhouse to prevent loss through the soil. Here, we are using 2” wide insulation which sits in a 2’ trench.
